Calibrations
Davis is a company that specializes in all aspects of Coordinate Machine
Measuring. When calibrating a CMM, we analyze and adjust to correct where
practicable (don't just tell you what it is) all geometries of your CMM. Many
CMM calibrators perform only linear or non-linear certifications of your
scales, which are only one element in the overall accuracy of your CMM and
usually is a very minor contributor to error. Others do some additional
geometry check but very few, if any, perform a full geometric evaluation of
your CMM. We do much more work in our calibrations than any other
company that we have encountered but we know it is necessary to provide our
customers with a true certification of the accuracy of their CMM. Dimensional
correctness of your inspection results in one of the most important criteria
that directly enters into the product quality that all companies are striving
to attain today. Davis can provide you with the confidence that an inspection
group must have that their results are an accurate reflection of the
product being manufactured.

Consulting
Many inspection groups around the country are challenged by their own
manufacturing groups, suppliers, or customers as to the correctness and/or
accuracy of their inspection results. Davis has evaluated procedures,
fixtures, measuring equipment, machine tools and isolated problems to the
exact cause or causes of geometric problems in their end product. Analysis
has ranged from small hand held products to huge gearbox and frame
fabrications for a heavy equipment manufacturer. We can work with all groups
involved in an amiable way to resolve disputes with supporting unbiased
documentation results utilizing equipment accepted as industry
standards.

Remanufacturing (in your plant)
If your machine has a problem whether it is new or old, let Davis correct the
problem. If it is an old machine with a part that is no longer available,
then let Davis make drawings to the original specifications and furnish you a
new part with capabilities for future replacements as necessary. If it is a
new machine with a design flaw and the manufacturer won't or can't correct
the problem, then let Davis apply his 30 years of CMM design and fabrication
experience to your requirements.
If you need air bearings, orifice or
porous face, then let us know. If your machine ways need lapping or scraping,
let Davis apply his experience.

Design
Davis has extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of coordinate
measuring machines, including bridge and horizontal ram machines. If you want
a part or a complete machine designed to your specification, then contact

Controllers with Remotes
Davis can provide you with a controller and a remote that is unique to the
industry. The controller utilizes off the shelf items that are not
proprietary; therefore, it facilitates any machine operation or programming
function from any remote location since a keypad, screen, mouse and track
ball are built directly into the unit. Full documentation provided which no
other manufacturer furnishes.
